EDsession Program & Schedule

Flexible Early Childhood Spaces That Support Physical, Cognitive AND Social-Emotional Needs

  • Date:Thursday, November 4
  • Time:4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
  • Description: Now more than ever, early childhood classrooms require flexibility, and it all begins with the physical environment. In an early childhood classroom, learning occurs through play-based exploration, hands-on experiences and social interaction with other children. These types of learning have all been disrupted by the pandemic. However, a thoughtfully designed, flexible environment can help children and staff react to today’s changing needs — such as schedule changes and physical distancing requirements — while still providing positive, critical learning experiences that support children’s physical, cognitive and social-emotional development.
  • Location:Classroom 317
