Reuse: By Far the Best Option for Surplus Furniture

  • Date:Wednesday, November 3
  • Time:4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
  • Description: Every school and district have to deal with surplus furniture, often hundreds or thousands of pieces at a time. Too often, it's just thrown out. This session spells out five alternatives to the dumpster, the circumstances in which each is most appropriate, and the practical steps to put them in motion. Options are: 1) Liquidation; 2) Direct resale; 3) Recycling for material value; 4) Local donation; 5) National/international reuse. Leave with a solid understanding of these options, and the tools to put them into practice.
