A Roadmap for Success: A District’s Collaborative Journey to Furniture Standardization

  • Date:Wednesday, November 3
  • Time:1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
  • Description: This presentation will highlight St. Louis Park Public School’s collaborative District Wide Building Standards endeavor, specifically focusing on furniture standardization efforts at the elementary school level. Five years ago, the district enlisted the expertise of 4 architectural firms to work together to develop a Standards Manual. The objective was to create sustainable and energy efficient building material standards, and 21st century classroom and furniture design standards. In 2017, the district passed a $100.9 million referendum with specific funds allocated to furniture. The unique partnerships, standards manual, and pilot classrooms lay the groundwork for successful project outcomes.
