EDsession Program & Schedule

Equitable Facilities for Middle Level Learners

  • Date:Wednesday, November 3
  • Time:4:00 PM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time
  • Description: Moving from a junior high model to a middle school combined with an opportunity for new facilities allowed this district to leverage their school identities while creating equitable experiences to support middle level learners. Through a deep community engagement process the community defined their needs and what “equitable not equal” facilities looked like for them. This program development included mindfulness of future adaptability, which was immediately tested due to the pandemic. This session explores the balance between detailed programming, and unforeseen adaptations.
