Helia Taheri is a PhD Candidate at NC State University’s College of Design. Her research focuses on the impact of the built environment on human-building interactions to improve comfort and IAQ in K-12 schools before and during COVID-19. Helia has almost a decade of experience working in architecture firms in Iran and the United States. She is interested in bridging the gap between academia and industry by conducting human-centered research and building performance analysis.
